Additional Info: Thursday 12th of November 2020 I chatted with Julie on the way to Muay Thai. They are relocating her ward to Footscray I think. It's kind of a big deal. Was walking home along Swanston street from Muay Thai training at approx 1320, and came to Little Bourke Street and wondered whether I should turn right into Chinatown, or keep going down Swanston street. I turned right. As I walkwed towards Target I could see a commotion ahead with people screaming and shouting, and then this Aboriginal male running from the shop and people were screaming. I shouted out "should I stop him" and the people at the store shouted out "Yes". He crossed the road and basically ran towards me. I got him in a headlock and dragged him back to the store. As I got him in a headlock I could see he had a weapon in his hand, so I told some shocked passer-by to remove the weapon from his hand (which I was holding). I then walked the offender to the Chinese Supermarket to find the store owner, a middle aged Chinese Man, face and shoulders covered in blood with his nose bleeding. It appeared he had been assaulted. So it turns out this Aboriginal guy had entered the store and stolen some items and then beaten and bashed the store owner and attacked over his wife. As I held the POS on the ground I could see his arms looked like aged salami, all wrinkled and covered in track marks. This guy was clearly shooting in between his toes because there sure as hell were no veins left in his arms. The POS was screaming and shouting as I was holding him down, and I said to him "my what a lovely voice you have, are you a singer?" Two middle aged woman approached me (there was quite a scene by this time) and asked if I needed a hand, as they were nurses. To which I replied "it's OK, I'm a nurse too!" The police arrived very quickly and took possession of the crimial and put him in handcuffs. I then gave a statement and then spoke to the store owner, who was clearly shocked and traumatised. I felt so bad for him. He was being comforted by his wife and other people in the shop. The police were also with him and so I left after a few minutes. Just another day in Melbourne. Spoke to Adam in LA for about 3 hours. We chatted about Trump, COVID, and the crazy people we have both worked with. Plus the release schedule for Goodbye Berlin and Travelogue in 2021. While on the phone I walked to Sharyn's and we both walked to Troika. It's now 1929 and I came back from Troika, were I had drinks with Sharyn and caught up with Paul. Jack and Roger were barking at all the dogs that passed by, and also made a few new friends. I just bought the Cubase 11 Pro upgrade, but think I will stick with V10.52 for this production. 2159 - Just finished V2. It's kind of OK. Still missing the magic, but I'm done for the day. Babylon 5 in 4K awaits. I'll finish it off tomorrow. Wednesday 2nd November, 2020 2122 hours - Just finished V5 using Cubase 11 Pro (it works fine), and added Louise's vocals. Jessica was supposed to view Mary's Shi-tzu (Marshmallow), as Mary is going to China for a while and needs someone to dogsit Marshmallow. I was hoping that Jessica wouldn't be too keen as Jack and Roger get along very well with Marshmallow and we always can do with an extra set of paws in the house. I've been joking all week to Sharyn that I hope Jess doesn't like the dog. Sharyn took Jess to meet Marshmallow today at 1800 hours, and I told Sharyn she should be 15 minutes late because "Marshmallow vomited on her and shat all over the floor". This is my lame attempt at putting off Jessica. I shouldn't have worried, because it looks like Jessica isn't so keen on taking Marshmallow now, for reasons which I will discover later, when Sharyn tells me. I have the Mandalorian 4K playing in the other room, while I've been working on this song. I just finished printing all the versions of this track and was about to call it a night, but I think I might have a go at doing Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth by Sparks. Maybe I can crank it out in a few hours. I want to have Holiday '20 done by the end of the week. I'm kind of nearly there. This is the way. |
