Quintessence

Written by John von Ahlen

Verse 1
I remember all the times that we met in vain
The pouring rain
Never knowing
Always showing the things I hide
You read my mind

Chorus
And now I know you are the reason I live
And now I know why you're the reason I carry on
Heaven's a place that I love and
Heaven's a place that I trust

Verse 2
TBC

Repeat Chorus

1919 : Been awake all day due to a meeting at 1300 hours. Then I went to Sharyn's and collected Jack. Got back to the studio and my alarm went off at 1700, letting me know it was time to take Jack to the Old Melbourne Gaol for the nightly dog meetup group at 1730. So, I put my shoes on and left. Jack had fun, but only for 15 minutes and then was giving me that look, so we left, and he was happy.
I came back to the studio and was working on cleaning up some samples, and then I thought I'd try them in a basic drum pattern to see how they sounded. I ended up with a basic beat, and then added a bassline that I also cleaned up using SPECTRALAYERS and added that.
Then I used the JD800 for some chords over the top (minor 7ths) and then suddenly the verse appeared out of nowhere. I loaded a bell sound from the Emulator and played a melody and that was the chorus done!
I stopped to write these notes, as I had some lyrics pop into my head. I better write them down now bedore I forget.

2047 : Printing V1. This song might need a radical re-work.
