Down in the Park

Written by Gary Numan

Verse 1
Down in the park
Where the mach-men meet the machines and play 'kill-by-numbers'
Down in the park with a friend called Five
I was in a car crash or was it the war
But I've never been quite the same
Little white lies like I was there

Verse 2
Come to "Zom-Zom's", a place to eat
Like it was built in one day
You can watch the humans trying to run
Oh look there's a rape machine
I'd go outside if he'd look the other way
You wouldn't believe the things they do

Verse 3
Down in the park
Where the chant is "death, death, death"
Until the sun cries morning
Down in the park with friends of mine
We are not lovers, we are not romantics
We are here to serve you
A different face but the words never change

Thursday 19th December, 2024
1832 hours - I went to IKEA today with Jack and bought some curtain hooks for the Apartment.
While on the tram I texted Louise and Steve.
Then I came back into the city and went to the GPO Box and got my shiny new Doctor Who Collection 25 BluRay.
Then I came to the studio here and recorded vocals for the song. Started recording vocals at 1446 and finished at 1540. Just under an hour!
Then I worked on the actual song, which started at V3. I had already done 2 prior versions but I apparently didn't write any notes!
Then I met a new tenant at 1800 at Exhibition street and came back to the studio to work on this mix a little until Christopher comes over at 1930.
We will then go to my apartment and watch Doctor Who (classic of course) and maybe some more Blake's 7 Season A on brand new BluRay!
What wonderful times we live in.
1921 - Chris just arrived. I just did the Synthwave Bassline and I think it sounds much better.
