A Little Smile

Written by John von Ahlen

Verse 1
Can you see my crying
Can you see me lying for you?
I'm making all the mistakes
And living all the heartbreaks for you

Do you even see me?
Do you even see the way I look at you?
I'm pretty sure you know it
Cause I'm not the best at hiding
what I'm feeling
what I'm dreaming
when I'm screaming

Chorus A
A little smile
(Anyway you want it, anyway you need it)
Is all I need from you
A little smile
(Anyway you want it, anyway you need it)
Something to get me through
A little smile
(Anyway you want it, anyway you need it)
Is all I need from you

Chorus B
Run into the open arms
Run into a better life for you
Running to the open arms
Running to the one who's loving you

Verse 2
Kicking all my feelings
Even though they leave me reeling
It's all good
Knowing that you're near me
Keeps me hoping that you feel the way I do

Repeat Chorus A
Repeat Chorus B
Repeat Chorus A

1013 - Katharine messaged Monday and invited me over for dinner Wednesday with the family, and Alex will be there too. Then she messaged and said Alex can't comer Wednesaday and can do Tuesday and could I come over. But I caught up with Chris on Tuesday for dinner and we watched Five Nights At Freddies, was a great movie.
Elena Moscatt called yesterday and asked me to write a few songs for her latest TV show.
So now it's Wednesday morning, and I have Muay Thai in 2 hours, and thought it would be good to see if I can write this song in an hour. Nothing like a deadline!
This song was written for an upcoming TV series in Baltimore, USA called Rosemary Street.

1209 - finished pre-chorus and chorus, now writing verse. Looks like I will miss Muay Thai.
