Ken Evans and his entire family suffered greatly during the Queensland Floods in early 2011. Their entire home was severely damaged by water as a result of the floods.

They lost countless personal items, as well as their entire recording studio also located on their property (Tycho Central) which was used to record Tycho Brahe.

Their two storey home was submerged up to the second floor, which caused severe damage to the structure of the house in addition to the interior.
